According to Caicedo, his path to stardom was anything but a walk in the park. It was fraught with tears and pain. He took to the soccer field alongside players older and physically stronger than him.
Despite the hardships of competing with these seasoned individuals, he is profoundly grateful for the experience. This, he explains, was the crucible that forged the formidable player he is today, turning his most cherished dreams into reality.

“Football in Ecuador is very important, even more than anything else. All Ecuadorians love football. When you see a lot of people from our country making it to top teams, it makes you excited to do your job well.
“I’ve met so many different people in my football journey. I’ve learned a bit of everything!” he explains.
In his journey, he acknowledges the invaluable support of his parents, who have been unwavering in their encouragement every step of the way.
“My parents have always been my heroes as they’ve accompanied me throughout the journey. They did everything possible for me to become a professional football player.” he said.
