Nollywood actress, Cynthia Okereke finally opened out about her one-week ordeal with their captors.

It would be recalled that Nigerian actors Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornell, alias Agbogidi, were reported to have gone missing weeks ago (kidnapped on Friday, July 29) while they were returning from a movie set at Ozalla town in Enugu state but failed to appear at their residences.

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, said in a statement that the kidnappers sought a $10,000 ransom before releasing the actors. Cynthia Okereke, an actress, spoke with Punch NG about her trauma with her kidnappers.

The conditions were met and the actors were released by their Kidnappers which we reported in our previous publication.

The announcement of their release was announced to the public in a press statement issued by the Actors Guild of Nigeria on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Well, the actress has finally opened up on what went down as she disclosed that they were left with no food nor water, which she releaeved to the general public in a video shared online.

Actress Cynthia Okereke was seen praising God Almighty for her life in a video that made its way to the internet, shared by the Chairperson of Ene Brown, the Enugu State of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

She also expressed gratitude in the video to her loves (fans), friends and colleagues in the film business, and everyone that rallied around her and Clemson Cornell during their kidnapping.

She said;

“My people, this is mama Cynthia Okereke, God is a faithful God and I have every reason to say Hallelujah in the land of the living. I didn’t know I have people and I have friends, good colleagues, people that care for me, people that can pray for me, verge for me and stand on my behalf.

“My BP is high but to God be all glory for all of you, your efforts, your prayers, and your encouragement. Mama Cynthia is alive, I will act for you people and will continue to be acting for your people. Me, I will be a late comer there, for good one week, no water no food but today I say to God be all glory forever in Jesus’ name. God will bless all of Nollywood for me”.
