With no more time to waste, the wait is finally over as Afrobeat star, Davido releases his anticipated album titled “55ive.”
Released for public consumption on Friday, April 18, 2025, under Davido Music Worldwide, RCA Records, and Sony Music UK, this new album serves as the Nigerian award-winning singer and songwriter Davido’s fifth (5th) studio album.
5ive album by Davido, born with the legal name David Adedeji Adeleke OON, which is a 17-track project with a total runtime of 49 minutes, blending Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, reggae, and R&B.
The project features artistes like Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Becky G, Omah Lay, and Victony. It includes previously released singles “Awuke” with YG Marley, “Funds,” featuring Odumodublvck and Chike.
5ive happens to be a follow-up album to his previously released album, “Timeless,” which was released two years ago and charted on Billboard charts and also got him Grammy nominations in the “Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards” category.
Prior to this release, his previous albums include “Omo Baba Olowo” (2012), “A Good Time” (2019), “A Better Time” (2020), and the aforementioned “Timeless” (2023).

According to Davido, this new 5ive album means everything to him, says, it mean more just just a number “it’s a statement of where I stand, five albums in,” Davido said, adding that “Getting to work with artists that I love and respect from all over the world on this project was a blessing. Different sounds, different cultures, but one vibe! This one right here shows my growth, my journey and where I am now in my life and my artistry.”
To celebrate the release, Davido is embarking on a five-city tour, with performances in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Paris, and London.
