Eminem’s Mockingbird song was released as the fifth single for his fifth studio album “Encore” in 2004. It after its release peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance.

The song talks about Em’s hustle, his partner, and his daughter, as he promises to try his best to make sure he gives her a great life despite the struggle and difficulties keeping up. Em talked about how life was back then when he had nothing, no money, and how his music career was in a sinking mood and couldn’t even take care of his family as well as how it began to peak up after meeting up with Dr Dre.
