Lionel Messi is no longer a player for Barcelona after a scrambled transfer despite FC Barcelona having reached an agreement with the player and a clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this couldn’t happen due to financial and structural obstacles (Spanish Liga regulations).

“As a result of this situation, Lionel Messi will not be returning to Barcelona but for the first time wearing another club’s outfit next season. Barca insist both sides were willing to extend his stay at the club. Messi can rejoin Barcelona if La Liga changes the face of their regulations.

Below are Several teams across Europe that will be ready to sign Lionel Messi after leaving Barcelona.

In France, PSG is most likely destination for Lionel Messi after pulling away when the player was closing on extending his stay at Barca. PSG focus is now on renewing Kylian Mbappe’s contract until an unexpected news of Messi.
