Five individuals have been arrested in relation to the assassination of Eric Johnson, a Ghanaian businessman and CEO of the Jirapa Dubai, also known as the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, which is situated in the Upper West area of Ghana.
Unknown attackers fatally stabbed Eric Johnson late on Saturday; cops discovered him later, lying in a pool of blood.
One suspect has been apprehended, according to a statement issued by Ghana Police on Sunday.
The circumstances surrounding the murder of Mr. Eric Johnson, the CEO of the Cosy Hill Hotel in Jirapa, Upper West Region, have been investigated by the Ghana Police Service.
On February 12, 2024, the body of the deceased was discovered in one of the hotel rooms, lying in a pool of blood. The incident site has been visited by the Regional Crime Scene Management Team. Since then, one individual has been held to aid with the investigation.
“To guarantee a comprehensive investigation into the event, the Inspector-General of Police has assigned a team of investigators and specialists led by the Director-General/CID to cooperate with the Upper West Regional Police Command,” the statement reads.
Later on, it was discovered that the suspect was Kumbata Kwaku, a worker at the Cosy Hills Hotel.
On Monday, February 11th, the Ghana Police Service announced that it had detained four (4) additional individuals in relation to the assassination of Mr Eric Johnson, the CEO of the Cossy Hill Hotel located in Jirapa, Upper West Region.
The Cossy Hill Hotel employees Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, and Michael Klugey are among the suspects being held by the Police Service and are helping with the investigation, according to a brief statement from the agency.
