Gabriel Jesus, an attacker for Arsenal, had a little setback during training, but manager Mikel Arteta has stated that no chances will be made with his fitness.

Jesus has not been seen in training ahead of Saturday’s match against Newcastle United. He first went out of the picture in January, when he disclosed he was having trouble with the same knee that needed surgery in December 2022.

Before the match, Arteta disclosed that Jesus had experienced a small setback in his recuperation. He assured supporters that they need not worry, but promised to allow the Brazilian enough time to fully heal.

“We couldn’t resolve that as quickly as we wanted and he had a small reaction in training again,” Arteta said.

“Giving him a few more days was our decision because we didn’t want to take any more chances because he has been away for a while and we need him to be at his best.
