Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has condemned Counselor George Lutterodt over the statement he made rape victims.

Counsellor Lutterodt, has for the past few days been in hot soup, recieving bashing here and there from top Ghanaian stars, and also concerned citizens regarding his comments passed on rape in a live interview.

Mr George Lutterodt, in a tellevised interview on Adom TV on July 8, said that “every rape victim enjoys the act,” a statement which a cross-section of Ghanaians has taken exception to.

In a statement released and signed by the sector Minister, Cynthia Mamle Morrison, in reacting to Lutterodt’s action said that “there is no justification for him to make such a maligning statement on television or in private”.

The minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection has called on the Ghana National Media Commission to Ban the controversial Counsellor from ever appearing on any television.

“We also call on him to unreservedly retract his unsubstantiated and insensitive comments and apologise to the general public,” the July 10 statement read.

The minister also in her released statement, is calling on Counsellor Lutterodt to unreservedly retrat his unsubstantiated and insensitive comments and apologise to the general public.

She is also demanding that the Ghana Psychology Council initiates steps to sanction him. see full statement below.
