Recall that Mary faced public backlash after revealing that she received a monthly salary of 400-600 cedis while working for Kuami Eugene.
After the revelation, critics labeled her as ungrateful, pointing out instances where the musician reportedly treated her well, including a birthday celebration.
Nevertheless, Mary has now clarified the dispute in a recent interview.

Mary has made it clear that the birthday decorations in question were not meant for her, despite the impression given by some reports.
She claimed that on the eve of her birthday, Kuami Eugene took her to Capitol for dinner.
The musician proposed that she take a picture of herself in front of someone else’s birthday decorations, which they happened to see while they were there, to be shared on her actual birthday.
Mary clarified that she only did as her boss asked and posed for the photos, which Kuami Eugene shared later to wish her a happy birthday.
Regrettably, some blogs misconstrued the circumstances and claimed that the singer had celebrated with his housekeeper.
