Italian Champions League Giants Eye January Transfer Bid for Harry Maguire Amid Manchester United Exit Speculations

Reports indicate that Harry Maguire has been presented with an unexpected opportunity to leave Manchester United.

The English international has fallen out of favor since the arrival of Erik ten Hag and only recently made his first start of the Premier League season in the 2-1 victory over Brentford.

Maguire’s future could lead him to Italy, following the path of former Red Devil Chris Smalling.

Initially, Maguire was on the verge of a £30 million transfer to West Ham, but the deal collapsed due to a disagreement over severance pay with Man Utd and West Ham’s urgent need to bolster their squad.

Now, AC Milan has emerged as a potential destination for Maguire.

Sources in Italy have indicated that Milan, among other clubs, is closely monitoring Maguire’s situation at Manchester United.

Expressing his concerns, the former Leicester star stated that he would reassess his position at Old Trafford if he continued to be benched.

“I am not going to sit here all my life and play once a month,” He said.

“If it carries on I am sure myself and the club will sit down and have a chat about things. But at the moment I am focused on two big games for England.”

“And then I am fully focused on fighting to try and win back my place at Manchester United  and trying to help the team climb up the league to where we should be.”

“I have belief in my ability and what I have done in my career. Every player who is on the bench should believe they should be starting otherwise they wouldn’t be playing at a high level.”

“I am no different. It has been tough, I want to play games, I want to feel important to the club and to the rest of the team.”

“I haven’t been playing nowhere near as much as I would like. I just have to make sure I am ready to take the opportunities when they come along.”

Manchester United is reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace center-back Marc Guehi as a replacement for Maguire.

Guehi has attracted interest from several Premier League rivals in recent transfer windows.

Former Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling found success in Serie A under the management of Jose Mourinho.

At the Serie A club, AC Milan, there are already Maguire’s England teammates Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Additionally, Christian Pulisic, who speaks English, is another notable star at the club, and if the move happens, Olivier Giroud would also be a familiar face for Maguire.
