John Kumah

John Kumah, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, passed away, Accra has reported.

A family member confirmed Mr. Kumah’s death today, according to a report from Accra-based Asaase Radio. Mr. Kumah is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament.

On August 4, 1978, John Kumah was born in Ejisu Odaho, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, at the age of 45.

He completed his secondary school at Opoku Ware School in the Ashanti Region.

holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana (Legon) in Economics and Philosophy. 2009 saw the recipient of a GIMPA MBA in Finance.

He served as the first Managing Director of Majak Associates Ltd., a construction and building company with projects under its belt throughout Ghana.

He started the Aduaprokye Chambers after graduating from law school and served as its managing partner until the President named him managing partner of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in 2017.

Under the Presidential Business help Programme, he oversaw the training of 45,000 start-ups in three years while directing NEIP. He also provided help to 10,000 recipients, resulting in the development of numerous jobs for youth around the nation.
