Jude Bellingham return from injury

Jude Bellingham will play in Saturday’s match against Valencia after recovering from an ankle injury, according to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

After hobbling off during Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Girona, in which he scored his 19th and 20th goals of the season, Bellingham has missed the team’s following three games across all competitions.

Madrid has only scored once in each of their games without Bellingham, but they will be hoping that when their leading scorer returns, they can resume their prolific ways.

Prior to the match, Ancelotti stated, “We need to be at our best.” “[Eduardo] Camavinga, Joselu, Bellingham, and [Dani] Carvajal are all back.

“[Bellingham is] complete. On a personal level, everything he has done and needed to do is OK. He feels at ease with his ankle. He is performing at his peak. He’s going to have a game.”

Ancelotti continued by saying Thibaut Courtois, the starting goalkeeper who has not played yet this season due to a knee injury sustained in the summer, is nearing his return.

Ancelotti emphasised, “The date is not defined.” However, we must make the most of the international break and the subsequent Copa del Rey mini-break. He will work with the team on assignments at that time.

“After 14 April, after Mallorca, Courtois could be there.”

In the La Liga rankings, Madrid leads Girona and Barcelona by six points going into Saturday’s match. Madrid will have an opportunity to widen their lead before Girona and Barcelona play on Sunday night.
