Asamoah Gyan should stay neutral in politics – Rockson Dafeamekpor

Rockson-Nelson Kwami Etse Dafeamekpor, a member of parliament for the South Dayi Constituency, has criticised Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of the Black Stars, for his political action.

He suggested that a public figure of Gyan’s stature like this should stay apolitical, and that Gyan’s affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) validates his purposeful miss of a penalty kick during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in order to deflect attention away from the then-opposition-led government.
