Breaking News: Ex-Ghana star Junior Agogo dies at age 40, The news of of his sudden demise has been confirmed.

Ex-Ghana striker Junior Agogo is reported dead at age 40, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers striker passed away in a London hospital.

Manuel “Junior” Agogo was a Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a striker. He was born in Ghana but spent most of his childhood in the UK. He then moved back to Ghana during his years in secondary school. He began his youth career at Sheffield Wednesday in 1995, moving up to the senior squad in 1997.

The Ghanaian 27-cap international was hospitalised in 2014 and 2015 after suffering a stroke – just two years after he retired from football.

Earlier this year, Agogo revealed he was still suffering from the after-effects of his stroke – including limited movement in his right hand.

He spent two months in hospital and later admitted he struggled with his speech – which left him lacking confidence and feeling isolated.
