It seems, the current online behaviour of American rapper, record producer, and fashion designer, Kanye West is preventing him from performing in the upcoming 2022 Grammy Awards.
Per information gathered online, the rapper, Kanye West who is now known with his legal name as “Ye”‘s name has been axed (pulled out) from the list of performers to thrill fans on the upcoming event which is set to come off of April 3, 2022.
Kanye’s legal rep confirmed that he is not allowed to perform that 2022 Grammy based on his current behaviour online with his posts on Instagram after he received a phone call on Friday night
Ye was part of the artistes to perform, but a recent list released by Grammy awards on their official website confirmed West isn’t performing as it listed the likes of Billie, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, BTS, Jack Harlow, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lil Nas X as performers to thrill the audience.
As most of you are already aware, Kanye West has been nominated for five awards in this year’s Grammys and this also includes the “Album Of The Year” category with his “Donda” album, but the question now is this, what then happens to the nomination, it is going to stand or also get pulled out at the last minute.
Kanye’s recent behaviour on social media that has been criticized by many follows the recent court case between himself and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian after court legally pronounced her as a single woman after filing for divorce from Ye which we published here.
With Ye’s name expelled from the list of the show’s performers, many are however of the view that this might be because of Travor Noah, who is the host of the show, with some reports saying he might have been the brains behind it as he himself and the Donda rapper have some misunderstandings resulting from the divorce issue with his ex-wife, Kim.
American Rapper and “Easy” collaborator the Game has also taken to Instagram to share his thoughts on the actions taken by Grammy awards by pulling out Kany West from performing said a lot.
The Grame wrote;
“Time & time again they show us that they only want to STEAL the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals. In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions….
“The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming. Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions….
“We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially. Speak your mind in this country for yourself, family or your people & you’re ostracized immediately & if you push them hard enough they will stop at no ends to try and put an end to you as a whole….
“I for one, have never been scared to speak my mind even understanding what the consequences may be. I can’t sleep at night knowing I was quiet about issues burning holes in my heart or narratives incorrectly pushed by the mass agenda to create a mind set that the person at hand is krazy or has issues internally that are beyond repair.
