Ghanaian rapper, Born with his legal name Isaac Akuffo, better known by the masses as Koo Ntakra has disclosed that the media in Eastern Region does not show the needed support for their home artistes.
The rapper made this known in a recent radio interview on Radio 1 based in Bonsu hosted by Abena Ampofo.
The rapper who was phoned in during the show to elaborate more on his recently released song which he is still promoting titled “Kofcity Boys“, a song that features other artistes who are based in the region in the likes of; Sean Khare, Misty Geez, and Phrings Icon.
Koo Ntakra Kofcity Boys song talks more about the style of life lived by the youngsters out there in Koforidua as they keep on the hustle to make more money.
According to him, he believes that his newly released song with other talents from Eastern Region is a good opportunity to help bring artistes together, and also push the region’s music into breaking more boundaries so they can excel as well as helping preach the business side of the music scene to the other acts.
Well, The winner of MTN Ghana Hitmaker Season 2 during the interview blamed the media houses in Eastern Region for always trying to diminish artistes from the region.
While asked as to what the challenges have been for him as a native of the region who is into music, he answered by saying that the region has been one f the regions that never loves to support what they have.
He added that the media and stakeholders over there always look down on artistes from the region, they always going in for artistes from other parts of the country neglecting the acts who share the same region with them.
Speaking on he also disclosed that the media throws in more support looking at the way they run promotions from artistes who come in from regions like Accra than providing the same support for Koftown artists.
