The England team’s friendly against Belgium on Tuesday will be without backup custodian Sam Johnstone as well as defenders Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire.
James Trafford, goalkeeper for Burnley, and Rico Lewis, defender for Manchester City, were part of the England Under-21 team before being called up to the senior team.
This is Trafford’s first senior call-up. The 21-year-old assisted England in winning the Euro Under-21 last summer. In November, Lewis, then 19 years old, made his Three Lions debut against North Macedonia.

Walker, a teammate for City, sustained an injury during the first half of Brazil’s 1-0 friendly victory at Wembley on Saturday.
Walker was replaced as captain by Manchester United‘s Maguire, who left the game in the 67th minute.
Walker, Maguire, and Johnstone of Crystal Palace—all of whom were not in action on Saturday have rejoined their respective teams.

The injury to England’s first-choice striker, Harry Kane, presents an opportunity for Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney to shine.
