According to reputable sources, including Argentine journalist Hernan Castillo and FC Barcelona transfer market expert Gerard Romero, Lionel Messi has reached an agreement to join Inter Miami in the MLS. This comes after Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, made a formal offer to Messi last week, which would pay him €50 million ($54 million) per season for four years.

While Messi’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30, Inter Miami has emerged as a strong contender for his next destination. Previously, there were strong links between Messi and his former club FC Barcelona, as well as Al-Hilal in the Middle East.

Recently, FC Barcelona received approval from La Liga to sign Messi after presenting an economic viability plan that demonstrates their ability to navigate their financial difficulties.

However, Barcelona still needs to sell players in order to bring back their legendary player. Messi desires a swift resolution to his future to avoid a prolonged transfer saga during the summer.

Additionally, there were reports that Messi’s camp had accepted a two-season offer from Al-Hilal worth €1.2 billion ($1.3 billion). This lucrative deal would potentially place him at the top of Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest-Paid Athletes in 2024, as reported by Footmercato.

It seems that Lionel Messi’s wife, Antonella, has expressed a desire to move to Miami, where the couple already owns a luxury condominium. In response to her wishes, it appears that the recently crowned champion of Qatar 2022 has decided to heed her request.

Hernan Castillo, the Argentine journalist, will provide further details about Messi’s anticipated move to the MLS on Argentine radio. However, he has already emphasized that there will be no further negotiations or meetings, as the 35-year-old football star has chosen Miami, the largest city in Florida, as the place to continue his professional career.

According to Hernan Claus, the editor at the Argentine daily sports newspaper Ole, the deal with Inter Miami is not yet completely finalized, but it remains an increasingly favorable option.

He describes it as an opportunity that continues to gain momentum and progress quietly. This is in contrast to Messi’s preferred choice, FC Barcelona, who are still unable to provide him with guarantees due to their ongoing financial difficulties.
