Although she does not deny that women may love, yet suggests that women should always allow males to begin the relationship.

Mrs. Marilyn Suttah observed that women who initiate romantic relationships are perceived as desperate, which allows certain males to exploit them.
From the look of things, it seems that her justifications or reasons were based on her previous relationships.
She asserted that:
“I also wish I knew that loving is for the man and all we had to do was to give him respect. It does not mean that a woman cannot love a man but you have to allow him to initiate it.”
“Sometimes out of desperation, we go out loving the men and then that leads to exploitation.”
