Roma and Feyenoord drew in the first leg of their Europa League knockout round play-off match, with a goal from Romelu Lukaku.

For Daniele de Rossi’s team, the Belgian forward headed a cross from Leonardo Spinazzola to equalize.

After Luka Ivanusec struck the post late in the game, Feyenoord had taken the lead thanks to a header from Igor Paixao.

Teams who placed second in their groups and teams that placed third in their Champions League groups square off in the Europa League play-off round.

In the final 16, the round’s winners will play the Europa League group winners.

In Hamburg, Marseille and Shakhtar Donetsk drew 2-2 thanks to a goal equal to the record established by former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in his 30th Europa League game.
