Lionel Messi has revealed that he has plans of returning to his former club, Barcelona to help them improve in the future.
It would be recalled that Messi left the Spanish side, Barca, almost three months ago where he moved to France and is currently playing for PSG.
PSG’s Argentine star in a recent interview with Sport recalled his moments at Barcelona, saying he really just love the club and that he will like to return to the club to help them grow.
He said this when asked as to what his future plans were. Keep reading below for more details.
Speaking about his future plans, Messi was asked if he would like to return to Barca which he quickly answered by saying YES!, he would love to return to the club in the future.
“Yes, I always said that I would like to come back to help the club in whatever way,” Messi told Sport.
He returning to the club will not be to join as a player but rather as part of the club’s senior management team as a technical secretary after hanging his boots.
He continued by saying he would love to be a technical secretary at a point but he does not know if it will be at Barcelona or elsewhere but if there are possibilities that it will be at Barca he would like to continue again because it is the club that he loves and will love to contribute towards their growth.
“I would love to be a technical secretary at some point. I don’t know if it will be at Barcelona or not. Or if it will be elsewhere.
“If there is a possibility, I would like to contribute again in what I can because it is the club that I love and I would love for it to continue to be good, to continue growing, and to continue being one of the best in the world.” he said.
“I don’t know if I will return when my contract with PSG ends. What is certain is that we are going to live in Barcelona again and that our life will be there. It is what my wife wants and what I want. I don’t know if when I finish my contract with Paris [we’ll go back], but to live we will return to Barcelona,” Messi added.
