Will Smith apologises to Chris Rock after Oscars slap

And also i can’t be more sure you have forgotten the most talked about slapping incident that recently happened during the presentation of 2022 Oscars Awards as actor Will Smith jumped on stage to give a colleague actor, Chris Rock who was about to present an award a hot and dirty slap and warned him to keep his wife Jada’s name out of his mouth after he passed a joke about her health condition live on TV.

Before helming movies like The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and Transformers, Bay made his directorial debut with the Will Smith-Martin Lawrence action-comedy Bad Boys, then later directed its 2003 sequel Bad Boys II

Well, the BAD BOY film director, Michael Bay who was speaking with Yahoo Entertainment recently when asked about what he thinks about what happened at the Oscars in regards to Smith’s slap said he did not watch the awards show live but he later saw what happened after his phone was flooded with test from a lot of people sending him texts due to the close relationship he has with Will.

“First of all, it’s wrong to begin with,” Bay who is promoting his latest movie “Ambulance” first told Yahoo Entertainment, adding that he doesn’t really care about all that people are talking about and that there are more serious and pressing issues that need to be talked about like the Crises in Ukrain where many lives are being lost following Russia’s Invasion.

He added that what happened may sometimes be a staged thing looking at it from his point of view and that he has worked with Will Smith and knows him not as someone who easily gets angry which is why he thinks it might be a setup.

“I’ve worked with him. He’s not that guy. I’ve never seen him lose his cool like that. I thought it was a setup because I saw his smirk. I’ve been on set when Will has screwed with people and joked with people.”

“It was a slap. Not a punch. He’s very good at fighting, he’s trained at that. It’s wrong to begin with. Then I knew the yell… he was mad.” Bay said.
