Barcelona return to action after a hard fought draw against Espanyol last weekend to begin their first Europa League journey in 18 years as they welcome Napoli for the first leg of their Playoff tie.

Barça dropped into the Europa League after finishing third behind Bayern Munich and Benfica in their Champions League group.

The five time European Champions are no longer the absolute mess they appeared to be last December after addition of new player and new boss Xavi.

Qualifying for next season’s Champions League is the only goal for the rest of this campaign, one that can be achieved by winning the Europa League.

Barca host Serie A title challengers Napoli at Camp Nou after both teams met in the last 16 of the Champions League two years ago.

It will be a sign of some progress under new manager Xavi Hernandez if Barca can emerge victorious to reach the last-16 stage.

New boss Xavi has backed former Arsenal and Gabonese skipper Aubameyang to make his mark.

Barcelona sit fourth in La Liga, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid whiles Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli sits third in Serie A with two points behind leaders AC Milan.
