Nanky, whose real name is Haruna Buhari, is a talented singer and composer with roots in Afro-pop, Afro RnB, and highlife.
Sultan Incorporation Record Label is his current label. Following his signing to the label, he released his first single, “Favor,” which featured BET’s certified African best rapper Sarkodie, who helped the song reach its intended audience.
This has solidified him as one of the most talked-about up-and-coming acts, with a bright future ahead of him.
Nanky was born and raised in Tema, Ghana. Padmore Primary School in Tema, Community One, was where he received his primary schooling.
He completed his education in the same city’s Akodzo Junior High School before being accepted to Chemu Senior School, where he studied general arts.
Music was not initially his chosen subject of specialization, despite his love and passion for it.
But he didn’t consider himself an artist because football occupied so much of his time and attention.
After recognizing his love for music was rising day by day, he realized nature had special plans for him. It came to him there that music was his divine calling. He pursued it without giving excuses.
