Nicki Minaj shut down Kanye West after he sought permission to release their long-awaited collaboration “New Body” on his forthcoming album.

The “Super Bass” rapper responded on Instagram Live after West, 46, shared a screenshot of a text message he had sent to Minaj, 41, requesting that she clear her verse for the song, on Thursday.

She said, “Chile, that train has left the station.” Alright? Not in the slightest.

Minaj stated last week that she “just put out a brand-new album,” “Pink Friday 2,” and that she has no intention of releasing “New Body,” which was discovered to have leaked online in 2019.

“I’ve had a song out for three years; why would I release it now? Guys, come on,” she urged her supporters.

“In 2018, West, Minaj, and Ty Dolla $ign recorded ‘New Body’ for West’s ‘Yandhi’ album, later abandoned.

 The lyrics, celebrating plastic surgery, were rumored to be inspired by West’s then-wife, Kim Kardashian, who facilitated Minaj’s involvement on an episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians.’

In 2019, West hinted at reworking the explicit track for his gospel album ‘Jesus Is King.’ However, Minaj revealed differences, stating she had written three different verses and was no longer in sync with her collaborator.

However, Minaj begged West to hold off on releasing the song after her verse from the leaked demo went viral on TikTok in 2020.

“‘New Body’ was a hit with the public,” she told Hot 106. “The greatest hit record that was never released is ‘New Body.'” Everyone is aware that’s the big hit that escaped.
