Ogun state ritual killing: four Nigerian Teenagers who allegedly murdered 20-year-old Sofiat Kehinde have been remanded into police custody for two months by a magistrate court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun state on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Ogun state ritual killing: The four suspects Balogun Mustakeem,20, Majekodunmi Soliudeen,18, Abdulgafa Lukman,19, and Waris Oladeinde,18, were arrested by the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday, January 29 and were arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and murder.

According to the prosecutor, Lawrence Balogun, he told the court that the defendants committed the crime around 11 pm on January 28th in the Kugba area of ​​Abeokuta.

And as said above, they were arrested while burning the head of their victim, who is believed to be a girlfriend to one of them in a cooking pot for money ritual.

The presiding judge, I.O. Abudu noted that the four murdered the victim with the intent of using her for money rituals which is an offense and violate Sections 324 and 316 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun 2006.

judge, I.O. Abudu went ahead and ordered that the suspects be defendants be remanded in the Oba correctional facility pending legal advice from the Ogun State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The proceeding in court in regards the case has however been adjourned until March 14 for consideration.
