A few hours after it became viral, major streaming providers like Spotify and Apple Music removed it from their services.

The contentious 19-minute title track, which was uploaded to Soundcloud in 2018, was included on the album’s 13 tracks.

On the album, the musician rapped about the sex crimes that landed him in prison.

R.Kelly Denies Releasing Album

According to recordings acquired by TMZ, R. Kelly has denied any participation with the track’s release, calling it a smear campaign.

Apple Music, and Spotify did not give reasons as to why they took down the album at that moment but speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Kelly’s attorney, Jennifer Bonjean said “It’s an unauthorized release of music. It’s stolen music.”

Bonjean says that “a police report was filed some time ago because his masters were stolen, but there’s not much of an appetite to investigate these things. People have had access to his intellectual property rights that they are attempting to profit off of, but unfortunately that does not include Mr. Kelly.”

A Rep for Sonny Music also confirmed that the album isn’t an official release.

R. Kelly In Prison (Jailed) For Sex Trafficing

The 55-year-old, whose legal name is Robert Sylvester Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison in June after multiple trials in Chicago and New York on separate sexual trafficking charges.

His victims have spoken at length about how he manipulated them with his fame, luring them in when they were fans then trapping them in a harem-like dynamic with other women.

In the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, they told how they were forced to perform sexual acts on each other for his pleasure.

Some described not being allowed to use their own phones, and being made to stay awake for days on end at Kelly and his posse’s request.

Kelly always denied the claims, insisting that the women were out to bleed him of his fortunes.
