Ghana Mourns: Slain Soldier Imoro Sherrif Laid to Rest at Burma Camp Cemetery (+VIDEO)

Imoro Sherrif, the soldier who tragically lost his life in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region, has been laid to rest.

Imoro Sherrif was a young soldier who was cut down in the prime of his life, and his colleagues and family members have been mourning his loss ever since.

On Thursday, March 9th, 2023, Imoro was laid to rest at the Burma Camp cemetery in Accra, and his funeral was attended by many of his fellow soldiers.

Imoro was only 21 years old when he was murdered on March 4th, 2023. His body was found near the Amania Hotel in Ashaiman, and he had been stabbed to death.

The news of his murder shocked the entire nation, and people from all walks of life expressed their condolences to his family and friends. The Military High Command quickly launched an intelligence-led operation to track down the perpetrators of the crime.

The operation was not without controversy, however. Many civilians reported that they were subjected to brutalities during the search for the murderers, and this caused a lot of concern among human rights advocates.

Nonetheless, the operation was ultimately successful, and 184 people were arrested and handed over to the Ghana Police Service.

Imoro’s funeral was a solemn occasion, with many of his colleagues and friends in attendance. The soldiers who served with him spoke highly of him, describing him as a dedicated and hardworking member of the military.

The funeral procession was led by a convoy of military vehicles, with Imoro’s coffin draped in the Ghanaian flag.

His family members were inconsolable with grief, and many of them wept openly as they said their final goodbyes. The burial ceremony was a moving tribute to a young man who had given his life in service to his country.
