Ghana’s national growth will be greatly impacted by the upcoming 13th African Games, according to Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif.
He made this statement during the formal commissioning of the Borteman Sports Complex by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana.
The luxurious sports complex is already operational, and the 25-day countdown to the multi-sport championship, which takes place from March 8 to March 23, has begun.
Borteman Sports Complex and University of Ghana Stadium will serve as the primary host venues for the African Games, which will take place in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
Football matches between teams of men and women will take place at Cape Coast Stadium and Accra Sports Stadium.
During her speech, Honourable Ussif emphasised how crucial it is for Ghana to host the competition, which serves as a means of qualifying for various sports for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
