Taylor Swift to Earn Over $100 Million from Spotify

Latest Entertainment News (Townflex) – Renowned pop superstar Taylor Swift, aged 33, has clinched the title of Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2023, amassing an impressive 26.1 billion global streams since January 1. Notably, she is poised to rake in over $100 million in royalties from the platform by year-end.

The proclamation of the year’s top artists was disclosed this week as part of Spotify’s annual Spotify Wrapped, providing insights into the musical trends of 2023.

According to Spotify, Swift’s musical repertoire has been streamed a staggering 26.1 billion times since the beginning of the year. Up until November, the songstress had already earned approximately $91.35 million. With the numbers continuing to surge, projections estimate her earnings to reach around $130 million by December’s close.

Securing the top spot on the streaming charts, Swift’s hits such as ”Cruel Summer” and ”Anti-Hero,” along with her album Lover, ranked among the top 10 globally listened-to songs.

Following her on the list were other notable artists including Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake, and Mexican star Peso Pluma, in respective order.

Upon being crowned the world’s premier Spotify artist, Swift expressed her gratitude in a heartfelt social media post.

She tweeted: “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me. We’ve seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious. So I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming… so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now 💋.”
