Kay Ewer, 28, used her position of trust to manipulate the student, who had special educational needs, into a series of sexual encounters.

The relationship began in September 2023 and continued for several weeks, during which Ewer preyed on the vulnerable teen.

She sent him numerous text messages, not only pressuring him to keep their sexual relationship a secret but also instructing him to bring a firearm to school. Ewer allegedly planned for the student to shoot another teacher in the leg.

The disturbing behavior was uncovered when a teacher at the Lakewood, Colorado school found unsettling writing on the student’s worksheet and reported it to authorities.

Police quickly discovered evidence of frequent sexual encounters between the teacher and student, as well as digital messages encouraging the boy to bring weapons to school.

The case has shaken the local community, with both the victim’s family and school officials expressing shock and anger at the betrayal of trust.

Investigators continue to grapple with the disturbing nature of Ewer’s actions, which included the introduction of drugs, alcohol, and weapons into the relationship.
