So, guess what? Tekashi 6ix9ine, the U.S. rapper, got himself into another tight spot. The Dominican Republic authorities arrested him for some domestic violence charges.
According to information gathered by Townflex Entertainment, the 27-year-old, who goes by Daniel Hernández in real life, got nabbed on Wednesday (January 18, 2024) and is supposed to show up in court on Thursday.
Now, he’s chilling in a jail cell in Santo Domingo, where they grabbed him. But here’s the kicker – we don’t know much else. No details, nada, and we’re not even sure if he’s lawyered up.
A judge will on Thursday decide if 6ix9ine stays locked up or walks out on bail while they keep digging into this mess.
This ain’t the first rodeo for Hernandez. Last October, he landed in hot water for allegedly roughing up a local music producer at a Dominican Republic hotel. Apparently, he and his Dominican rapper buddy, Yailín la Más Viral, were just doing their music thing.
And, oh boy, Hernandez has danced with the law before. In the U.S., they accused him of using a violent gang as his “personal hit squad.” But he dodged the slammer by snitching on the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods over on the East Coast.
Fast forward to March 2023 – 6ix9ine’s in Florida getting jumped outside a gym sauna. Three guys got arrested for beating him up and taking his stuff – Rafael Medina Jr, Octavious Medina, and Anthony Maldonado.
To add more drama, a Texas promoter sued him in December 2021. Apparently, 6ix9ine pocketed cash for a Texas show, then ghosted without hitting the stage. JJD Entertainment spilled the beans in court, claiming 6ix9ine flew in, “grabbed the money in cash, then left.” Wild, huh?
