Manchester United is in urgent need of strengthening their attacking options after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in November. During the previous season, they relied on the loan signing of Wout Weghorst as a temporary solution.

The club is considering potential targets like Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur and Victor Osimhen from Napoli. However, both pursuits may be hindered by the high transfer fees demanded by their respective clubs.

Manchester United faces a challenging task in finding the right talent to fill the gap left by Ronaldo’s exit.

According to Sources, Manchester United is prepared to intensify their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt’s striker, Randal Kolo Muani.

This decision comes amidst concerns that Atalanta may remain firm on their asking price for Rasmus Hojlund, making the acquisition less feasible.

Having already completed a deal for Inter Milan’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, Manchester United is now shifting their focus towards securing a talented center forward to strengthen their squad.

Hojlund is a significant target for Manchester United, but Atalanta’s asking price of €70 million ($78.6 million) is considered by United to be an inflated valuation for a 20-year-old player who is still at the early stages of his career.

Insiders from Townflex Sport reveal that Manchester United plans to challenge Atalanta’s stance by making a bid for Hojlund. However, the club is simultaneously exploring the possibility of securing Randal Kolo Muani as an alternative option.

The 24-year-old player holds a prominent position on manager Erik ten Hag’s list of potential choices, having showcased his talent by netting 23 goals for Frankfurt in the previous season.

In the meantime, Manchester United is optimistic that Andre Onana will be able to join the team for their preseason tour of the United States, commencing in New York on Thursday.

The transfer agreement with Inter amounts to €51 million, with an additional €4 million in potential add-ons. The club is diligently working to facilitate the medical examination and complete the necessary paperwork as swiftly as possible.

Personal terms with Onana have already been settled, and the Cameroonian international, who previously collaborated with Ten Hag during their tenure at Ajax, is set to ink a five-year contract until 2028, with the option of extending for another year.

In the meantime, Manchester United has made an announcement regarding Jonny Evans, confirming that the experienced defender has agreed to a short-term deal, enabling his participation in preseason matches.

At 35 years of age, Evans has been actively training at Carrington since departing from Leicester at the conclusion of the previous season, with the intention of finding a new club.

As part of this short-term agreement, he is slated to join the United squad for their upcoming match against Lyon in Edinburgh on Wednesday, as well as their game against Wrexham in San Diego.
