A sincere appeal has surfaced from the Nollywood community as veteran performer Amaechi Muonagor requests public support for an essential kidney transplant in India.
Social media users have been sharing a video of Muonagor, who appears weak, lying on a hospital bed with actor Kingsley Orji, who is fervently pleading on his behalf.
Profoundly alarmed, Orji reveals the actor’s protracted battle with kidney issues, made worse by a recent speech impediment.

“It hasn’t been simple. This is the state in which he [Muonagor] has been for some months. His desire is to receive a kidney transplant. We are asking for your assistance so that he can visit India. A few days ago, he returned from the intensive care unit at Nnewi Teaching Hospital. He wasn’t getting better despite the treatment.
Orji also revealed that the sick actor’s kidney problems have affected his ability to speak.
“Despite the fact that it is not wise, we chose to bring him home because there was no money. He hardly speaks at all. He needs your help, please,” he continued.
