Organizers/board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has officially lifted the ban placed on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

The VGMA board imposed the ban on the two big Ghanaian dancehall recording acts (Stonebwoy and Shatta) in 2019 to restrict them for participating in the award scheme until further notice following a brawl between the two acts at the 20th edition which involved the brandishing of a gun.

In a press statement from VGMA released on Friday, February 12, 2021, stated that the board after a thorough review has decided to lift off the ban place on the two acts.

“This makes them eligible to participate in this and subsequent editions of VGMA, if they so desire.” – the statement reads.
