Yesterday night, Saturday, July 17 was a very unfortunate night for fans who visited the Nationals Park in Washington D.C to withness a baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres.

Fear was created during the live game as multiple gunshots were fired outside the Nationals Park that very evening which brought about the confusion which led to fans scattered and running in fear of their lives.

According to reports gathered by Townflex.com, the incident took place in the middle of the sixth inning, with the Padres leading Washington Nationals, 8-4. leading the game to come to a halt.

Spectators inside the stadium who were on the run in fear of their lives were a bit calmed down following multiple announcements that the incident which happened did not take place inside the stadium but rather outside.

It has however been gathered that the gunshots that fired that night got three people injured and were rushed to the hospital where they are were administered treatments.

The police said they were investigating the shooting and that there was no ongoing threat. Three people were injured in a shootout between people in two vehicles, the police said, including a bystander outside the stadium who had been attending the game.

The Nationals who were supposed to have a conference with players and the team’s manager had no option than to cancel it and reschedule.

This was made known to the public via an official statement made by the team through their Twitter account where they also announced that the fans had been encouraged to leave the ballpark through the center field and right field gates.
