A tragic and horrifying incident has emerged from Haryana’s Rohtak district, where a yoga teacher was buried alive by a man whose wife he was allegedly having an affair with.
The crime, which took place in December 2024, remained unsolved for months until the police made a breakthrough on March 24, 2025.
Jagdeep, a yoga teacher at Baba Mastnath University, had been living as a tenant in the house of Hardeep. According to police reports, Hardeep discovered that Jagdeep was having an affair with his wife, which led him to plot a horrifying act of revenge.
Hardeep, with the help of his friends, planned the kidnapping of Jagdeep. They dug a seven-foot-deep pit in a remote field in Pantavas village, claiming it was for a borewell.
On December 24, after Jagdeep returned home from work, Hardeep and his accomplices ambushed him.
The group tied Jagdeep’s hands and feet, beat him, and then forced him into the pit. To ensure he could not scream for help, they taped his mouth shut before burying him alive under a mound of mud.

Jagdeep’s family reported him missing on January 3, but it wasn’t until police analyzed his phone records that they uncovered crucial evidence.
The investigation led to the arrest of Hardeep and his associate, Dharampal, who later confessed to the crime.
On March 24, three months after the murder, Jagdeep’s body was recovered from the pit. The police confirmed the body was that of the missing yoga teacher.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, with more arrests expected in connection with the case.
“This is a brutal crime, and we are doing everything we can to bring justice for the victim,” said Kuldeep Singh, the in-charge of the Crime Investigation Agency.
