Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested 3 persons over a recent shooting incident that happened at Zammrama Line, a suburb of Accra, on a disputed piece of land involving a soldier and leading to six persons getting injured in the process.
According to a press statement released by the law enforcement service, GPS, the incident took place on June 4th, 2022, and as we speak, a soldier, identified as Sergeant Isaac Abbey, and two others also identified as Godfred Amegbor, and Ofei Darko have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the shooting incident.
The statement points out the soldier sergeant, Isaac Abbey allegedly shot and injured four people on the said piece on land.

The victims who sustained injuries are, Ali Ashillely, Akim Zibo, Salam Musah and Faisal Khalid Azumah who sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds and were sent to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Two of the arrested persons, suspects Godfred Amegbor and Ofei Darko who were posing as soldiers also sustained some injuries and were sent to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment. In their statements to the Police, the two claimed to be military personnel but the claim has not been established in the investigations of the Police service.
Investigations are ongoing and all the suspects will be taken through the due process of the law.
