Finally, Adwoa Sarfo’s replacement has being announced by the current president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo.
The appointment of a new Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection is only awaiting confirmation by the legislature.
This comes after the president fired the substantive minister, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, after she missed several months of work.
The minister being selected is Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, who happens to be the Member of Parliament for Walewale.

This information was released in a press release from the Presidency’s Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, who also announced the appointment of Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, as the deputy .
