Barcelona Ban Messi: Spanish Football Club, FC Barcelona is said to have banned its captain, Lionel Andrés Messi from taking part in the club’s upcoming training.
Well according to information gathered by Townflex.com, the Argentine professional footballer is likely not to return to Barcelona for a play/training until he signs a new contract with the team.
The Argentinean will not join up with the Barcelona squad for training today, Monday, August 2, 2021.
The Argentina captain has been a free agent for a month now starting from July 1st, 2021, after his contract with FC Barca ended on June 30th, 2021.
In our previous post on this contract issue, we published that Messi has agreed to extend his contract with the club for another 5-years, forced to accept a 50 percent pay-cut due to the financial problems facing the team.
Even though he has agreed verbally but it hasn’t been penned down as something official with is leaving fans a bit scared whether if he would sign the contract or not.
Barcelona Ban Messi: Messi is currently enjoying an extended holiday after representing his country at the Copa America last month, and it seems he will still remain in holiday, and will not take part in the team’s upcoming friendlies if the contract remains unsigned.
He was pictured in a new photograph he shared online chilling and partying in Ibiza, with Luis Suarez together with his family (wife and kids), following reports that he is banned from Barca’s training grounds.
The 34-year-old captained Argentina to the title in South America as they beat hosts Brazil 1-0 in the final.
