Five individuals have been charged in connection with the tragic death of One Direction star Liam Payne in Argentina, according to reports from the Argentinian newspaper Infobae.
The 31-year-old singer died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16, sparking a wide-ranging police investigation.
Among those charged is Rogelio “Roger” Nores, a friend of Payne, who reportedly left the singer at the hotel just an hour before his fatal fall. Nores has been charged with negligent homicide.
The investigation also implicated Braian Paiz, a waiter who admitted to using drugs, including cocaine, with Payne. Paiz faces charges of supplying narcotics for payment.
Similarly, CasaSur employee Ezequiel Pereyra is charged with the same crime.
Hotel managers Gilda Martín and Esteban Grassi have also been charged with manslaughter, with both expected to appear in court.

The investigation revealed concerning details about Payne’s final hours, including reports of his erratic behavior.
A 911 call made the day of his death described Payne acting aggressively, possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Witnesses also reported that Payne had persistently requested alcohol and cocaine from hotel staff.
Text messages allegedly exchanged between Payne and an escort revealed the singer had offered $5,000 to “party” just before his death.
Additionally, a psychiatrist had warned Nores about the dangers of mixing Payne’s antidepressants with alcohol, suggesting it was impossible to continue supporting his mental health.
The five charged individuals now face serious charges, including the possibility of up to 15 years in prison for those accused of supplying narcotics for payment.
