Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, has proclaimed that he is a heavenly servant on a mission to use music to help children.
At the Guinness Accravaganza on Saturday, December 2, 2023, Shatta Wale made a commitment to improve the lives of young people by attempting to spare them the hardships he experienced as a child.
He talked about how he uses music to spread the word of God and revealed personal anecdotes of his one-on-one meetings with the Almighty.
We are blessed by God, and I just want people to follow me for more reasons than just my music.” I am merely God’s servant, spreading the gospel via my music. I occasionally sit down and have private conversations with God. I simply want to do everything within my power to inform people that he is The King of Kings.
Shatta Wale stated
Shatta Wale urged the kids to have faith in themselves, refuted myths about mystical practices, and thanked people who had faith in him.
I was never believed in by anyone, but now that you, you and you, do, I am considered to be Juju ja. If you go malam, you will lose your money. If you go wan go malam, phone me and I will offer you stuff, you will succeed in what you do. God is watching you, so keep an eye on him.” Shatta Wale stated
As a tangible sign of his support, Shatta Wale gave five fans GHC 5000 at the opening of his new real estate company, Feelbro houses. He lamented the lack of artist collaboration to support their collective fan base and stressed the necessity for harmony in Ghana’s music industry.
“We are thankful that you, the fans, left everything you were doing and paid to see us, and we wish Ghanaian music had more unity so we could support you,” he remarked.
It was suggested by Shatta Wale that he would conduct a music workshop in the future year. Young people with talent in both music and identity formation are aimed to be empowered by the workshop.
