For the balance of the season, his duties will be divided among the other coaching staff members.

“We would like to thank Eric for his contribution, and wish him the best of luck in the US in his first head-coach role.”

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining a club with such a strong football culture, a fan-base that is passionate, and brilliant infrastructure,” Ramsay said in a statement to Minnesota’s club channels.

“Over the process, I’ve spoken with a number of the club’s employees, and you can’t help but sense their enthusiasm for advancing the organization.

The club has a tremendously exciting future ahead of it, and I’m excited to play a part in making that vision a reality. I appreciate the club believing in me, and I hope this marks the beginning of another prosperous chapter for all Minnesota United supporters.
