Social media users are reacting negatively to Nana Ama McBrown’s claim that she was unaware Piesie Esther could speak English.
The incredible moment occurred while McBrown was interviewing the gospel singer for her Onua Showbiz programme.
Piesie Esther appeared on the programme to advertise a forthcoming event that will take place in Accra’s UPSA auditorium.

Piesie Esther mentioned a short code that can be used to buy tickets while revealing how fans can purchase tickets to attend.
When McBrown heard that Piesie Esther could speak English, she was shocked!
“I believed you were not proficient in speaking English,” McBrown remarked.
By God’s grace, Piesie answered, she’s trying her best.
There was a stir online after McBrown asked an abrupt question that appeared to be intended to make Piesie feel inferior because she was illiterate.

surprisingly enough, Piesie Esther was talking about numbers when McBrown asked her that, so it’s not like she was speaking English at all.
McBrown seemed prepared with the question and only wanted to ask it without considering the background!
