NDC endorses Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as Mahama’s running mate

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has been named by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the party’s running mate for the 2024 presidential election, replacing John Mahama.

Distinguished scholar and activist Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is well-known for her commitment to public service and education.

Serving as both the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and the Minister of Education, she has become a pathfinder for women in leadership roles throughout Ghana.

Her nomination demonstrates the NDC’s steadfast support for diversity, inclusivity, and the advancement of women in leadership positions. Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who is highly qualified and experienced, adds a plethora of knowledge and experience to the NDC’s presidential ticket.
