Kenyan politician, economist, and entrepreneur, Ndindi Nyoro, has issued a response following a security breach that resulted in hackers taking control of his official Facebook account.
Nyoro, the current Member of Parliament for Kiharu Constituency in his second term at office, alerted his followers to the compromise of his Facebook page, boasting over 500,000 followers.
Reports indicate that the account was hijacked on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. In response, Ndindi Nyoro used his official X account to issue a cautionary statement to his supporters.
In the statement, Nyoro urged his followers to exercise vigilance and avoid interacting with any content or links shared by the hackers.

He explicitly cautioned against clicking on links sent through the compromised account and advised followers to disregard any updates or inbox messages originating from the hacked page.
Assuring his supporters, the MP stated that efforts were in progress to regain control of the Facebook profile and page. The statement conveyed, “Kindly note that Ndindi Nyoro’s Facebook profile and page are under the control of hackers. Kindly do not click on any link sent. Ignore updates and inbox messages shared and sent by hackers. We are working to recover and restore the pages.”
