The Memorial and Funeral arrangements of the late popular South African rapper, AKA have been made public.
South African rapper AKA was shot and killed outside of a restaurant in Durban on Friday night (Feb. 10). He was 35.
The parents of AKA, whose legal name Kiernan Forbes, confirmed the passing of their son on Saturday (Feb. 11) in an emotional statement on social media.

Rapper AKA Funeral Details
The memorial and funeral details have been announced in a released press statement by the family of the rapper published on his official social media accounts, sighted by Townflex Entertainment on Twitter.
AKA’s memorial according to the statement will be opened to the public and will be streamed live on YouTube, link to the live streaming will be attached below for those who will love to watch from their homes.
Part of the press statement released by the Forbes family reads; “We as the Forbes family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love we have received over the past few days. Kiernan wasn’t just loved by us as a family, but by the nation, as we’ve seen from loved ones, friends, media tributes and the MEGACY.
“It is our wish to celebrate the life of Kiernan with those he touched and impacted through his gift of music. His memorial will therefore be open to the public as well as streamed online on YouTube.”
The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th, at 3:00 pm, while the last funeral rites will be on Saturday, 18th February when the rapper will be buried and laid to rest. He will be buried in a private provincial funeral.
