Latest Entertainment News, Ghana (Townflex) – Gasmilla, the well-known Ghanaian rapper, singer, and hitmaker, has unveiled his unique perspective on creating music. He has revealed that churning out hit songs is not his top priority as a musician.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, the artist behind the hit track “Telemo” expressed his commitment to not rushing to produce quick, catchy tunes.
Instead, he emphasized the importance of dedicating time and care to the entire music-making process. His primary goal is to create songs that will not only be loved by many but also stand the test of time, becoming what’s often referred to as “evergreen music.”
Gasmilla, whose legal name is Odartei Milla Lamptey, has a rich history of producing popular hits such as “Telemo,” “Aboodatoi,” and “Ak3rsomorshi,” among others. He clarified to Graphic Showbiz that his focus goes beyond merely releasing chart-toppers; his ambition is to compose songs that future generations will cherish with pride.
“I don’t rush to make quick songs. I take my time with my music, crafting each one carefully. My goal is to make music that people will love for a long, long time” he said.
Furthermore, Gasmilla issued a strong caution to both music enthusiasts and industry professionals, advising against the practice of rigidly categorizing artists into specific music genres or styles. His approach to music creation underscores the value of artistry that transcends fleeting popularity, aiming for a timeless and enduring impact.
Check out one of his latest music releases, released back in May 2023, titled ‘Kponkpo’ with production credit going out to Cause Trouble.
