Renowned Ghanaian rapper Amerado has questioned the Telecel Ghana Awards [TGMA] Charterhouse organizers about their decision to not nominate his hit song, “Kwaku Ananse.”
The Accra International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena had a packed launch on March 28, 2024, when the Telecel Ghana Awards revealed its nominees for the upcoming year’s awards.
Amerado, who goes by Derrick Sarfo in real life, received two nominations that evening. The Hardest – Amerado placed in the best rap performance category, while Kwaku Ananse Remix – Amerado ft Fameye placed in the best collaboration category.

However, the original version of his well-known song “Kwaku Ananse” was not nominated.
The talented rapper expressed his disbelief in a tweet on X, saying that despite his song’s widespread appeal, it was not nominated for any awards.
“Dear @GHMusicAwards, Why was Kwaku Ananse (original) not nominated?” He questioned
