Assuring them of his support, thoughts, and prayers at this time of sadness, he also expressed his condolences to the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), and the whole creative community.

Sisi Quadri passed away on Friday at the Ogbomoso general hospital, where he was being treated for an unidentified disease. His passing occurs on the same day as the premiere of Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, his most recent film in which he portrayed one of the three ghosts in the mysterious epic series helmed by Kunle Afolayan.

After experiencing a relapse a few days prior, Mr. Ibu was taken to Evercare hospital in Lagos on Saturday and later passed away from cardiac arrest.
